How to create and share a travel itinerary

Start with a name. Add the details as your plans take shape.

Beta · Keep a separate copy of important plans.

  1. Plan each day

Name your trip and add plans by day. Dates are optional. Add meeting times, places and notes; drag plans into order or sort them by time.

Try “09:30 Meet at the station”, with “Under the clock at the north exit” in the details. Keep the time, plan and landmark easy to scan.

  2. Save when you are ready

Press Save changes to update the itinerary. Typing keeps a draft on this device, but companions will only see what you have saved. Preview the itinerary before sharing.

Meeting at 10 instead? Change the time, then choose Save changes. Your companions cannot see changes that are still only a draft.

  3. Choose the right link

Open Share at the top of the itinerary. A viewing link lets people read saved plans. An editing link also allows changes, history restoration and link management. Only send it to people you trust.

Send an editing link to friends helping with the plans. Send a viewing link to people who just need to know where to meet.

  4. Keep your editing link

Save the editing link somewhere you can find it. Open it and choose Join editing to use another browser. If you lose both the link and all browsers with editing access, the itinerary cannot be recovered.

Bookmark your editing link or send it to yourself. You can use it to join editing again from another device.

A little inspiration for your trip

A day out, a night away, or a trip with friends. See how your plans could look.

Before you set off

Does everyone need an account?

No. Companions can open the viewing link without registering or installing an app.

Will my plans be translated?

Buttons and guidance follow the browser language. Your titles, plans and notes stay exactly as you wrote them.

Do I need to send a new link after every change?

No. Save your changes and ask companions to reopen or reload the existing viewing link. If you replace or stop the link, the old one will no longer work.

Share with care

Anyone who has a viewing link can read the saved itinerary. Review reservation details and other private information before sending it. Itineraries are excluded from search indexing, but a link is not a password.
